My #1 is still Basilisk: The Kouga Ninja Scrolls, Vol. This is by far one of the most graphic, violent, gore, and most of all best samurai mangas I've ever come across in years. She's confirmed to appear in Volumes 11 and 13 so far. As far as I can tell, she only appears in Volume 11 of this manga. I stumbled across her in a blog post about Shigurui while scouring the web for more manga muscle girls. Shigurui Volume 11, available at Amazon JP, introduces a cool female samurai character, Chika Funaki ( 舟木 千加 ).
The artist, Takayuki Yamaguchi ( 山口 貴由 ) is adapting the manga from a novel called "Suruga-jou Gozen Jiai" originally written by Norio Nanjo ( 南條 範夫 ).
